Job summary

SMBC is seeking an Analyst in the Client Management team to support KYC and AML processes, onboarding, periodic reviews, account maintenance and due diligence. You will collaborate with Compliance, Relationship Managers and Operations to ensure timely, accurate client lifecycle activities.

Role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; hybrid work flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a corporate bank or financial institution.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of KYC, AML and client onboarding processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; initiative and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Support KYC onboarding, periodic reviews, remediation and account maintenance for institutional clients.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Relationship Managers and Operations to obtain required documentation.
• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy and resolve issues.
• Respond to routine inquiries and support day-to-day processing.
• Escalate potential compliance or operational risks to senior team members.
• Participate in ad hoc projects.
