Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services is seeking a Kurdish - Kurmanji, Kurdish-Sorani with Arabic language skills for travel-based linguistic support for a government agency in Reston, VA. The role requires translation, transcription, and interpretation with 100% travel (CONUS/OCONUS).

You may work from a Northern Virginia office when not traveling. Candidates must have US citizenship, a BA/BS, ILR Level 3 proficiency, and pass an English test with 80% or higher.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• BA/BS degree strongly desired.
• Level 3 ILR or equivalent in translation, speaking and listening (professional performance).
• Excellent target language and English skills.
• Willingness to travel 40% of the year to locations worldwide, including warzones.
• When not traveling, may work in a Northern Virginia office for a 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents into English and provide consecutive interpretation.
• Travel as part of the Travel Team/Travel Only program.
