Job summary

We are Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeking a Manager of Engineering for the Compute team to lead the cloud‑native Kubernetes platform, partner with product and execs to shape the roadmap, and drive reliability, security, and scale across production services.

You will mentor engineers, manage delivery, and foster an inclusive culture. Expect leadership in modern cloud native practices, rapid development, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Have 8 years of experience in software development along with experience in engineering leadership or management role.
• Demonstrate leadership in Cloud Native Platform Engineering, driving organizational alignment and operational efficiency.
• Have track record of managing teams that build and operate highly available production services using Kubernetes and cloud‑native technologies.
• Have technical foundation in containerization, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Have experience hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
• Possess expertise leveraging CI/CD tools to achieve good software development practices.

• Leading and growing a team of high‑performing engineers building the cloud‑native platform on Kubernetes.
