Job summary

Precision Solutions Ag seeks a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and secure container platforms at Wright Patterson AFB. You’ll lead efforts to optimize cloud-native tooling and CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical apps in controlled environments.

The role requires extensive Linux experience, Kubernetes networking know-how, and a TS/SCI clearance. You’ll work on on-site teams to implement automation, documentation, and secure container practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of platform or systems engineering in classified environments.

• LS/OS administration on Linux in Kubernetes/container environments and scripting.

Kubernetes Platform Engineer Wright Patterson AFB, OH (5 days on-site) TS/SCI Clearance is Required

Summary Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.

As a senior platform DevOps engineer, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering or systems engineering within classified environments
• 5+ years of experience with cloud environments, programming languages, and supporting CI/CD
• Experience supporting Kubernetes networking, including concepts such as Services, Ingress, network policies, load balancing, DNS, and Container Network Interface (CNI) technologies
• Experience designing and troubleshooting networks supporting containerized or microservices-based applications
• Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code, using technologies such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters and creating technical documentation, system diagrams, and SOPs
• Experience with Linux‑based systems such as RedHat or CentOS, Linux administration and networking particularly in environments supporting Kubernetes or container platforms, and scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, container registry management, and image‑hardening approaches
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Preferred Requirements

• Experience operating AWS EKS
• Experience managing and deploying applications in an air-gapped environment
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and working on Agile teams using collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, or Discourse
• Experience with technologies such as Calico, Cilium, Flannel, Istio, service mesh, VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, F5, cloud networking, Helm, Terraform, and GitOps
• Knowledge of cloud‑native tooling or vulnerability‑analysis concepts
• Knowledge of modernization frameworks used across mission programs
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or technical discipline
