Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Infrastructure Engineer for Starlink to design, operate, and scale the infrastructure that supports millions of daily users worldwide. You will automate deployment, manage on-premise clusters, and collaborate with software teams to deliver highly available services.

The role emphasizes SRE/DevOps focus, containerization, and strong Python/C++/Go development experience with Linux proficiency.

Qualifications

1+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps; OR 3+ years in lieu of a degree.
1+ years of professional experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure tools.
Experience with containerization technologies (i.e. OCI containers, Kubernetes).
Development experience in Python, C++, or Go.

Responsibilities

Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise Kubernetes clusters
Deploy and manage core infrastructure such as databases, monitoring and distributed storage
Collaborate with software engineers to create scalable, operable products
Engage in and improve the lifecycle of services from inception to refinement
Monitoring and alerting supporting systems to ensure high availability
Hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the Starlink stack
Identify areas for improvement and create innovative solutions for high system availability
