Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Developer to design and build software powering a GPU-accelerated compute platform for AI and HPC workloads. This role emphasizes writing Kubernetes-native software, operators, controllers, and APIs rather than general DevOps tasks.

The ideal candidate will understand Kubernetes internals, experience building platforms on Kubernetes, and be comfortable extending Kubernetes for GPU-enabled workloads.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience with Go or Python.
• Hands-on experience building Kubernetes-native software (operators, CRDs, controllers).
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including scheduling, RBAC, and lifecycle.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and NVIDIA technologies.
• Proactive Linux and distributed systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop Kubernetes-native software using Go, Python, or similar languages.
• Build custom operators, controllers, CRDs, APIs, and platform services.
• Extend Kubernetes to support GPU-intensive AI/ML and HPC workloads.
• Develop automation for cluster provisioning, lifecycle management, scheduling, and orchestration.
• Create GPU scheduling, allocation, and workload placement capabilities.
• Integrate NVIDIA technologies and NVIDIA GPU Operator.
• Develop internal tools/APIs for provisioning GPU resources.
• Improve platform scalability, GPU utilization, and reliability.
