Job summary

ALTESS is seeking a Data Replication Specialist to design and manage enterprise backup and data replication across the AECC environment. You will work with Kubernetes clusters, containers, and virtual machines to automate backups, replication, and recovery processes.

The role requires DoD security awareness, IaC proficiency, and ongoing optimization of backup schedules. Hybrid work with onsite support in Radford, VA is available.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience with enterprise backup, replication, and recovery in Kubernetes.
• Experience with multi-site Kubernetes deployments and data protection.
• Strong automation and IaC skills (Terraform, Ansible, Vault).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise backup and data replication solutions across AECC.
• Automate backup, replication, and recovery for containers, clusters, and VMs.
• Configure Kubernetes-native backup tools for CSI and PVs.
• Provide on-call support for after-hours incidents.
• Create documentation and process diagrams for backup/recovery.
