Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions invites engineering students to join its Summer Internship Program in Colorado Springs. Interns will work on challenging technical problems, gaining exposure to real-world customer projects and hands-on coding in C++, Python and VHDL.

Interns will perform system design, deliver complex presentations, and develop communication skills while contributing to ongoing programs. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering program (CS/CE/EE).
• Strong academic GPA as evidenced by coursework.
• Minimum 2 years of completed coursework.
• Experience in real-time, embedded software design with C++ and/or VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience creating and delivering complex technical presentations.
• Knowledge of communication theory or DSP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tackle challenging technical problems for the Summer Internship Program.
• Work on system design and code development in C++, Python, and VHDL, among others.
• Contribute to customer projects and develop real-world solutions.

Engineering Studentsiwho would like to work on challenging technical problems for ourSummer Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to work with experienced engineers using the latest state-of-the-art technology! Kratos Interns work on customer projects, creating solutions that will be used in real world applications. You will also have the opportunity to perform system design, code development in C++, Python, VHDL, and other coding languages, as well as a variety of other challenging tasks. In addition, interns will be given the chance to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Required Experience:

• Coursework towards Bachelor of Science Computer Science/ Master of Science Computer Science, Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering/ Master of Science Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science Computer Engineering/ Master of Science Computer Engineering (or related engineering major), with strong GPA
• Minimum 2 years of completed coursework
• Experience in real-time, embedded software design with an emphasis on C++ and/or VHDL/Verilog
• Experience creating and delivering complex technical presentations
• Communication theory or Digital Signal Processing knowledge a plus
• Currently enrolled in an engineering program. (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Development)
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required
