Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Kraft Mill Shift Utility for our Clatskanie, OR location, starting pay is $30.35/hour. This role supports a high-speed tissue and paper production environment with a focus on safety and teamwork.

You will learn operator functions, assist in kraft mill processes from bleaching to maintenance, perform valve operations, and contribute to meeting production goals while benefiting from a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with computers.
• Experience with basic mechanical maintenance and/or machine troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Learn multiple operator functions to ensure equipment runs at expected levels.
• Assist in the operation of Kraft Mill processes, beginning with the bleaching process and chemical prep.
• Manual valve operation and equipment isolations.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals.
• Perform mechanical tasks and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Clean your work area throughout your shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
• Internalize and practice the MBM guiding principles to create continuous transformation and positive growth.

Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products facility in Wauna/Clatskanie, Oregon is a high-speed manufacturer of a variety of tissue and paper products. What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working with computers
• Experience with basic mechanical maintenance and/or machine troubleshooting

What Will Put You Ahead

• Advanced degree/certification in science or chemical/mechanical engineering systems, paper manufacturing, or reliability
• 2 or more years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• 2 or more years of experience in the pulp and paper industry
• 1 or more years of experience in maintenance or reliability
