Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Quality Inspector to support quality control activities on a power construction project in Homer City, PA.

This role will be responsible for performing inspections, verifying compliance with project requirements, maintaining accurate quality documentation, and supporting the execution of project-specific Inspection & Test Plans across mechanical, electrical, or civil scopes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction quality control or inspection experience.
  • Experience in mechanical piping, electrical, or civil disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve subcontractor ITPs.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections across mechanical, electrical, or civil scopes.
  • Verify compliance with contract documents, drawings, codes, and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and tests with operations teams to maintain project schedules.
  • Interpret and apply quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with district quality management to ensure consistent quality program execution.
  • Conduct measurements, testing, and documentation using calibrated equipment.
  • Review, log, and track inspection and test documentation.
  • Prepare complete, accurate quality documentation packages.
  • Maintain full traceability of materials, inspections, and testing activities.
  • Participate in operations planning sessions to ensure quality requirements are integrated.
  • Communicate quality expectations and issues in project meetings.
  • Interface with clients and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is completed, organized, and retained.

Position Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Quality Inspector to support quality control activities on a power construction project in Homer City, PA. This role will be responsible for performing inspections, verifying compliance with project requirements, maintaining accurate quality documentation, and supporting the execution of project-specific Inspection & Test Plans across mechanical, electrical, or civil scopes.

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors offers integrated engineering, procurement, construction and startup service needs, specializing in gas and coal-fired power generation, coal retrofit and renewable energy. From concept to commercialization, our full suite of EPC and startup services set industry standards for quality design and superior functionality in delivering power projects throughout North America.

Location

This position is based out of Homer City, PA and is required to be onsite.

Candidates must be open to relocation based on project needs, skill development, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Experience in at least one of the following disciplines is required:
  • Mechanical - Piping
  • Electrical
  • Civil
  • 5+ years of experience in construction quality control or inspection.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to high‑quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to access all areas of a construction site.

Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.

  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
