Job summary

WORLD WIDE PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS seeks an experienced Korean Translator/Project Coordinator to join our Peoria, AZ team for a large-scale manufacturing construction project. Translate documents, coordinate schedules, and ensure cross-functional alignment with Korean-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum five years’ experience in the translation field
• Familiarity with technical jargon and terminology used in construction management
• Native fluency in Korean highly preferred
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management
• Translation Certifications highly preferred (ATA, NAATI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Translate documents related to construction management, including technical documents, drawings, design documents, and communications.
• Handle and translate specialized documents such as construction contracts, specifications, building permits, and safety manuals.
• Ensure terms like construction codes are consistently translated across materials.
• Implement a QA process to ensure translations are contextually and technically correct.
• Provide simultaneous interpretation at business meetings and other events.
• Assist with administrative duties such as report processing, award issuance, and record keeping.
• Support other divisions with language needs.
• Provide cultural expertise
• Conduct tours for non-English-speaking visitors.
• Maintain translation database using translation management software
• Provide quality assurance for the translation process
• Work with a wide range of media and translation software
• Resolve issues related to translation, localization, and culture
• Engage with other departments to provide translation services
• Implement feedback and changes whenever possible
