GLOBAL LANGUAGE STRATEGIES is seeking a remote Korean-to-English or English-to-Korean translator and editor for ongoing freelance assignments, handling official documents with strict confidentiality and quick turnarounds.

You will translate and edit diverse materials, ensure accuracy, formatting, and client-specific requirements, and work independently as an independent contractor, often meeting one- to two-day deadlines.

Qualifikationen

• Native or highly proficient Korean and English language skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in translation, linguistics, language studies, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Two to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent formatting skills, and the ability to produce client-ready work.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, professional approach.
• Access to up-to-date Windows software and the ability to work with standard document formats.
• Able to provide per-word rates for translation and editing.
• Willingness to accept assignments on an as-needed basis.

Position Overview: GLS isseekingan experienced Korean-to-English or English-to-Korean translator and editor tosupport ongoing document translation and editing assignments. This remote, freelance independent contractor role involves translating and editing a variety of official documents, including vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts. Assignments will be provided on an as-needed basis and may require quick turnaround timelines.
