Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services in Reston, VA is seeking an Expert Korean Instructor to support a government agency, providing language instruction, translation, transcription and interpretation services as needed.

You will balance teaching with lesson development, student assessment and testing, working under senior instructors and completing sponsor training to achieve certification.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of adult-level instruction experience within the last 5 years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience in Language Instruction/Facilitation and Language Testing.
• Course design, content management, and editing/quality control of language products.
• Ability to summarize/gist content and produce reports.
• Experience selecting media for language projects.

Responsibilities

• Work 40 hours a week with ~20 hours teaching and ~20 hours on lesson development, student assessment and testing.
• Work under the direction of experienced senior instructors.
• Complete sponsor training to become certified according to Sponsor standards.

We are actively hiring an Expert Korean Instructor to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with language instruction, translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

Must have 5 years of adult-level instruction experience within the last 5 years.

Translation Assessment: 3;
Speaking Listening Reading: 5/5/5

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment and testing.
• Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
• Instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing in order to become certified according to Sponsor standards
