Job summary

Cajun is seeking a Korean/English Translator to provide accurate interpretation and written translation to facilitate communication among the project team, owners, and construction representatives.

The role supports engineering reviews, meetings, and technical coordination, with travel between project offices and sites as needed. Strong language proficiency, discretion, and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Professional experience providing interpretation and written translation.
• Experience supporting engineering, industrial construction, manufacturing, or technical projects preferred.
• Familiarity with water treatment, wastewater treatment, cooling water systems, or steel manufacturing is a plus.
• Translator or interpreter certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely interpretation during in-person meetings, virtual calls, technical discussions, and project site visits.
• Translate project correspondence, meeting records, presentations, requests for information, and other documents.
• Develop and maintain a project-specific bilingual glossary for terminology consistency.
• Coordinate with discipline leads to confirm terminology and document accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of project, client, commercial, and employee information.
• Follow project document-control requirements for translated materials.
