Overview

A lovely family of four living in New Cannan, CT is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny for their two children, ages 6 and 2.

The ideal schedule is Monday through Friday, 12 pm – 8pm (plus potential for overtime with advance notice). The family is open to more hours on Saturday or Sunday. 40 Guaranteed Hours. (Exact hours slightly flexible). The family needs a candidate with the willingness to travel during family vacations and to stay with children on overnights (several dates need to be cross checked before hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the children’s development and well-being.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, prepare bottles, and assist with feeding according to the children’s needs and routines.
• Organize and engage children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play.
• Plan and facilitate educational activities, arts and crafts, and outings that encourage learning, creativity, and social development.
• Safely transport children to scheduled activities, appointments, and playdates as needed.
• Read to the children and encourage language development, curiosity, and a love of learning.
• Keep children’s bedrooms, playroom, toys, and play areas clean, tidy, and organized.
• Maintain daily logs of the children’s activities, meals, naps, and routines, and provide parents with regular updates and photos.
• Assist with occasional family-related errands as requested.

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a competitive hourly rate of $45/hr- $60/ hr depending on experience and qualifications, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
