Job description

Key Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining systems and tools in the Sponsor's environment, supporting the development of new tools and systems that align with the Sponsor's goals, and contributing to the creation of the Sponsor's overarching data acquisition and exploitation strategy. Work on complex, in-person cyber security and knowledge management tasks with minimal or no access to online reference materials, requiring strong technical expertise and problem‑solving skills.

Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience

• Cyber Security Engineering
• Experience implementing cybersecurity systems and tools to support forensic imaging of data sources
• Experience implementing cybersecurity systems and tools to support media analysis of data sources
• Experience developing and customizing tools to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in systems and applications
• Experience modifying technical research frameworks to optimize data collection from diverse sources
• Experience developing tools for cyber analysis and exploitation
• Knowledge Management
• Experience designing and maintaining information systems to optimize information sharing and retrieval with integration with existing systems and tools
• Experience creating technical tools for taxonomies, metadata structures, and search to facilitate easy access to relevant information

Highly Desired Skills and Demonstrated Experience

• Strong understanding of networking protocols and vulnerabilities
• Data engineering experience and effective communication across platforms and varying levels of technical knowledge
• Experience modifying secure communication information systems and processing tools to enhance collaboration across Sponsor's branches and departments

• Experience conducting technical research and analysis on various systems and applications for data collection
• Experience providing root‑cause cyber analysis on communication platforms
• Strong understanding of computer network security, networking principles, and exploitation techniques
• Experience reviewing data collections for veracity of information

• Experience with Sponsor's analyst tools and information systems
• Experience documenting and managing branch‑level logistics support information systems
• Experience with Sponsor's reports dissemination tools, and networking/research tools

US Citizenship

• This position requires US Citizenship. Verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements will be confirmed.

Security Clearance

• The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
• Clearance verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. Clearance verification information will be requested prior to an offer of employment.

Travel

• This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA). Local travel/POV will be on an as‑needed basis, within the local place of performance.
