WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Knowledge Management Manager develops, maintains, and improves accurate, accessible, and usable operational knowledge content that enables operations employees to perform their work effectively. This position partners with internal teams, vendor training teams, business leaders, and subject matter experts to identify knowledge needs, apply established standards, and ensure knowledge content aligns with assigned business areas, existing resources, and operational processes. The role identifies opportunities to improve, connect, consolidate, and maintain content to reduce duplication and enhance usability. The position may also support broader Performance Enablement priorities based on business needs.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Develop and Maintain Operational Knowledge Content: Create, update, organize, and maintain operational knowledge content in accordance with established standards. Translate complex business processes and information into clear, concise, and usable content that supports employee performance. Ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned to current business practices.

Apply Content Standards and Governance: Apply knowledge management standards for content structure, organization, quality, ownership, and lifecycle management. Identify outdated, duplicative, incomplete, or inconsistent content and recommend or implement appropriate corrections. Support consistent application of knowledge practices across assigned business areas.

Analyze and Improve the Knowledge Experience: Review content usage, search behavior, employee feedback, and other available information to identify practical opportunities to improve the knowledge experience. Recommend improvements to content structure, organization, accessibility, and usability, and support initiatives that help employees find and use information more effectively.

Collaborate with Internal and Vendor Partner: Partner with internal Performance Enablement team members, vendor training teams, business leaders, and subject matter experts to align knowledge content with related training, operational processes, and business needs. Identify opportunities to leverage, connect, consolidate, or improve existing content rather than creating duplicative solutions. Apply knowledge management expertise to ensure new and updated content is accurate, complementary, and sustainable.

Support Broader Performance Enablement Priorities: Support broader team and business priorities based on organizational needs and available capacity. Contributions may include instructional design support, content development, project support, business initiatives, or other assignments that leverage the employee’s knowledge management expertise and support Performance Enablement goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in knowledge management, content management, communications, learning and development, or a related field.

Experience developing, maintaining, or improving structured operational content using established standards or governance practices.

Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, and improve content accuracy, usability, or accessibility.

Experience analyzing content usage, search behavior, feedback, or other performance information to recommend practical improvements.

Automotive or financial services industry experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Knowledge Management, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.

Knowledge of content development, organization, maintenance, and lifecycle management practices.

Understanding of how employees search for, access, and use operational information.

Strong writing, editing, and content organization skills.

Ability to translate complex operational information into clear, concise, and usable content.

Ability to apply established standards consistently while exercising sound judgment.

Ability to identify content gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, and improvement opportunities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited guidance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to business partners and cross‑functional stakeholders.
