Job summary

TikTok is seeking researchers to help build vast knowledge graphs for e-commerce, ranking, and ads. You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and ops teams to design scalable knowledge representations that connect products, brands and buyers.

Applicants should be nearing or holding a PhD in relevant fields and demonstrate interest in ML/NLP/multimodal systems, with programming experience in C++, Python, Go, or Java. Seattle-based role with onboarding by year-end.

Qualifications

• PhD or near completion in Software Development, CS, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Interest or exposure to ML, NLP, multimodal systems, and computer vision.
• Familiarity with C++, Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; hands-on projects are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dive into building knowledge graphs for real-world products to aid feed ranking and ads.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and operations to shape product strategy.
• Craft knowledge graphs including product/content insights and category/brand/SPU development.
• Architect knowledge maps showing buyer and product connections.
