Lake Roosevelt Jr/Sr High School is seeking a Knowledge Bowl Advisor to guide and inspire junior and senior high school teams in preparing for and competing in academic quiz competitions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a strong background in academic subjects.
  • Experience: Previous experience in academic competitions or as an advisor is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills; passion for education and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Organize and lead practice sessions, ensuring students are well prepared for competitions.
  • Event Coordination: Manage and coordinate participation in Knowledge Bowl tournaments and events.
  • Student Development: Mentor and motivate students, promoting teamwork, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and school administration.
  • Fundraising: Manage all aspects of fundraising in collaboration with ASB, track and report items and finances. Facilitate student engagement in responsible fundraising.
