Job summary

Cap America in Fredericktown, MO is seeking an Operator to operate knitting machines and maintain cap production at high quality. This fast paced role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with others to meet daily orders.

You will review orders, set up equipment, monitor machine performance, and adjust for defects. Lifting up to 75 lbs and physical tasks are required; cross-training in other positions is encouraged.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly

Position Summary:

Operates and maintains knitting machines to produce various styles of knit caps. Fast paced and detail oriented. Maintain highest acceptable quality in process and finished product.

Essential Functions:

• Operate a knit machine to set up product at the best quality possible.


• Carefully reviews paper work for daily orders that include details such as; quantities, colors, due dates, and if any specific notes that may be shown..


• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.


• Working at a fast pace to ensure daily production goals is met.


• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to work closely with other people.


• Must be punctual and have a positive work attitude.


• Detail oriented


• Must be willing to cross-train in various positions.


• Some sitting, standing, walking, lifting (over 75 lbs.), bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing, and pulling required.
