Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a 2nd shift Kitting Technician in Las Vegas to assemble, inspect and package machined and bought-in parts into finished kits. You’ll read work orders and SOPs for accurate kit production, with shift 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday to Friday, and a pay rate of $24.35 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.

You should have 1–3 years in manufacturing or warehousing, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and possess basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in manufacturing, warehousing or production environment.
• Physical Demands: able to stand or walk for long periods and regularly lift up to 50lbs.
• Skills: Strong basic math, basic computer and database skills and excellent organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and produce quality work in a clean room environment.
• Maintain area and tool cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Perform complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.
• Manage inventory and control to prevent shortages and ensure timely kits.
• Use tools to assemble parts and work independently or in a team to meet production goals.

The core responsibilities of this role include:Kit assembly read work orders, blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to pull and package exact parts, tools or materials.

Position: Second (2nd) Shift Kitting Technician

Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday –; Friday

Pay: $24.35per hour

Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, track part shortages, and use warehouse management or inventory software to process finished kits.
• Quality Assurance: Verify that components match part numbers, check for defects or damage before packing and accurately label kits.
• Staging and Delivery: Deliver completed kits to production lines, assembly floors, or designated work areas to prevent workflow delays.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict workplace regulations, which often include FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention and using PPE like steel-toe shoes or cleanroom suits.

Kitting Technician

Role Profile

Role Purpose

The kitting technician will be required to assemble, inspect, clean, package and kit machined parts and bought-in items necessary for various customized types of kits.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible to assemble components and produce quality work, free from errors in a clean room environment.
• Responsible for area and tool maintenance & cleanliness.
• Responsible for various complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.
• Responsible for inventory management and control.
• Knowledge and ability to use tools to assemble parts.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure production goals are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field of study
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Must have 6 months experience in a complex kitting, assembly environment
