Job summary

Griffin YPS, a unit of Yancey Bros. Co., is seeking a Shipping Technician for our Griffin, GA facility.

You will perform inventory transactions in the WMS, pick and kit components for production, and support material delivery to the plant while maintaining accuracy and safety. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year in stockroom/kitting, experience with barcode scanners, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in moderate noise levels and a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Ability to work independently and part as a team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Good reading comprehension and numerical skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes.
• Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive hand motions are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year in stockroom/kitting; experience with barcode scanners is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurately picking and kitting components required for production according to Kitting lists.
• Organize and label kits clearly according to procedures.
• Perform inventory transactions in the WMS system during picking, kitting and return to stock.
• Support production by delivering materials to the plant.
• Identify and report any material shortages, discrepancies, revisions errors, or quality issues.
• Assist with shipping/receiving when needed and prepare materials for supplier returns or RMA processes.
• Load and unloading of transfer and delivery trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in required safety program and wear all required PPE.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
