Job summary

Kwik Trip, Inc. in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to accurately select and load products for shipment to our retail stores. You will work with MES software, use forklifts, and ensure FEFO on all items in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications include basic math, teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Weekend premiums apply, and a year-end profit-sharing bonus is available. Shift hours vary, with two weekday options.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory cycle counts and uphold safety standards.

Job description

Our state-of-the-art Kitchens department located in La Crosse, WI produces over 40 different food products for approximately 800+ retail stores. Kwik Trip customers are able to enjoy everything from our soups, salads, sandwiches to our Pothole Pizzas. With our expansion we are now able to offer a variety of Take Home Meals and finished fruit and vegetable products, all prepared daily by our Kitchens team.

Join the Warehouse area of our Kitchens as a Warehouse Material Handler where you will be trained to accurately select and load our Kitchens products to be shipped to our retail stores. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with our MES software to update inventory for the receipts
  • Putting away received goods into the racking using forklifts
  • Manage FEFO (First Expired First Out) on all products for the facility
  • Interact with handheld scanners to ship finished product to our Distribution Center
  • Deliver product to fast paced production lines using forklifts/powered pallet jacks
  • General housekeeping for warehouse & facility grounds
  • Finished inventory cycle counts

Work Schedules:

  • Monday through Friday working 2:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Wednesday through Saturday working 12:00pm to 10:00pm

Qualifications:

Prior material handling or forklift experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical qualifications: lift/carry up to 60 pounds to 60 inches; lift/carry 40 pounds to 76 inches; push/pull 60 pounds of force; bend, twist, reach, stoop frequently; work in varying -20 - 44 degree F temperatures.

  • Minimum starting rate of pay: $19.53 per hour
  • Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday
  • A year end cash bonus - 40% of profits shared with our coworkers
  • 2 Weeks Vacation within 1st year of employment
