Duties

• We are seeking a reliable and energetic Food Service Worker to join our school nutrition team. In this role, you will help prepare healthy meals for our students and handle a crucial daily task: transporting prepared meals from Myton Elementary to the neighboring school building right next door. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stable, school-hour schedules with no nights, weekends, or holidays.


• Key Responsibilities Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, and packing of school meals. Load prepared meals into insulated food carriers or transport carts. Safely transport meal carts or containers daily to the adjacent school building next door. Set up serving lines at the receiving school and assist with student meal service. Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring hot foods stay hot and cold foods stay cold during transit. Clean and sanitize transport equipment, workstations, dishes, and kitchen utensils. Return empty transport equipment to the main kitchen at the end of the shift.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if using a district vehicle to move between buildings).


• Ability to lift up to [e.g., 40 lbs] and push heavy rolling food carts.


• Ability to walk between adjacent campus buildings in various weather conditions.


• Strong communication skills and a friendly, student-focused attitude.


• Previous experience in food service or school nutrition is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
