Job summary

Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is seeking an Area Mechanic – Kitchen Tech to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment, soda and beer drink systems, and related plumbing and electrical controls. The role may involve working from elevated platforms and confined spaces across the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts.

Candidates should have at least 4 years of troubleshooting experience, strong knowledge of CO2 beverage systems, ability to read blueprints, lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in troubleshooting.
• Experience with commercial kitchen repair and maintenance.
• Knowledgeable with CO2 systems that include soda and beer drink systems.
• Extensive knowledge in electrical controls with the ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment (electrical and gas).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls and relays on kitchen equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Respond to trouble tickets within Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts.
• Use the tools of the trade (multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools).
• Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as required for site safety.
• Wear additional PPE as required (face shields, goggles, etc.).
