Job summary

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate may be needed.
• Education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Prepare a variety of items, beverages, and garnishments.
• Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and uniform policy.
• Communicate with the Manager daily to prepare the day’s menu.
• Monitor food temperatures to ensure safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
