Job summary

Foxtrot in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to support daily meal preparation and service. You will wash, cut, and prepare meats, cheese, vegetables, and assemble sandwiches while operating stove, griddle and oven.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English (Spanish also used at the location) and communicate effectively for safety.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow directions for organizing and counting production items.
• Strong communication skills with staff and managers.
• Must be able to stand/move for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for production tasks and use of kitchen tools.
• Must meet local/state food safety certification requirements and be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meats, cheese and vegetables by washing, cutting, chopping, and slicing using slicer, knife, or other kitchen tools.
• Cook ingredients as needed, including bacon, sausage, sautéed onions, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, pasta and chicken.
• Operate stove, griddle, and oven for various menu items.
• Assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads and snacks by following instructions for quality and consistency.
• Assist in preparation of school and staff lunches and cookies and dough as required.
• Assemble snack items such as cookies, popcorn, and candy.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and proper storage; keep cold and dry storage neat.
• Inform management if inventory is low or if there are safety concerns with products or equipment.
• Interact with customers, vendors, or delivery drivers as needed; use tablets when appropriate.
• Help teach, train and mentor new team members; maintain cleanliness by cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and waste handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
