Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is seeking a Deli Host to engage with customers and maintain a clean, stocked deli area. No experience is required—we will teach you and help you grow with the team.

You will handle customer inquiries, assist with deli preparation, and support other store tasks while ensuring top-notch service and food safety throughout shifts. This role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and learning on the job.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service, answer questions about menu offerings and customer needs.
• Assist store cashier team with cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain areas during shifts.
• Prepare deli products per guides (salads, fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfaits).
• Follow company food safety policies and procedures.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, or Leadership roles.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

As a Deli Host, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
