The Kitchen Suppression Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, selling, and servicing fire suppression equipment, including fire extinguishers, kitchen hood suppression systems, emergency lights, and other fire safety products. This role requires professional, timely service and consistent achievement of weekly service and productivity goals. It is well suited for individuals with a technical background who enjoy problem-solving in a dynamic work environment. Whether experienced or newly qualified, the technician will have opportunities to build skills and grow within the company.
Manage time effectively to complete as many service calls as possible while maintaining high-quality work.
Meet assigned weekly productivity goals.
Comply with company safety procedures, including driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
Maintain the vehicle according to company procedures and keep it clean and organized.
Experience selling and servicing a variety of fire suppression components including fire extinguishers, emergency lights and other fire products is a plus.
The ability to learn applicable inspection and servicing codes
The ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures
A valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record
Satisfactory results in a company mandated criminal background check and drug test
A strong work ethic and professional appearance
A mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical background or a basic level of comfort and knowledge of these systems
Experience in working with basic portable hand tools
Able to read and interpret various mechanical schematics and diagrams
Direct Customer Service experience
Familiarity in filling out detailed reports on electronic devices such as an iPad tablet
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
