Job summary

Aramark is hiring at Yosemite Lodge in Central California, offering the Executive Steward role responsible for maintaining cleanliness of dishes, serve ware, and equipment across the stewarding operation. Lead and supervise staff to ensure smooth kitchen support for events and daily services.

The position requires flexibility to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, with emphasis on safety, sanitation, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work assignments and oversees the completion of tasks
• Maintains accurate and timely safety and equipment logs
• Trains and guides staff on job duties and procedures
• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
• Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management
• Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

The Executive Steward is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of dishes, serve ware, equipment, etc. In addition, the individual may perform other serviceable duties as assigned. The Lead Steward may be responsible for the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the stewarding operation. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.00 to $25.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Qualifications

• Effectively leads teams
• Able to work long hours, weekends and holidays as needed to meet event‑driven business needs
• Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred
• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Requires constant standing/walking
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
