Hilton Des Moines Downtown is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to lead culinary operations and ensure high standards of quality and guest experience in a bustling Des Moines hotel.

You will supervise meal production, assist with culinary tasks, maintain sanitation, and coordinate between kitchen staff and leadership to support daily operations and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food preparation: Oversee meal production across all kitchen areas during assigned shifts, ensuring quality and consistency
• Assist with culinary tasks: Prepare proteins, support kitchen staff, and help execute daily specials and happy hour food items
• Maintain kitchen standards: Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen workspaces in compliance with regulations
• Monitor food quality: Visually inspect ingredients, dishes, and presentations to ensure high quality and consistency standards
• Support team operations: Prepare team member schedules with guidance from the Chef/Sous Chef and liaise between kitchen staff and leadership
• Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations

Hilton Des Moines Downtown is looking for their next Kitchen Supervisor!

Join our team at a hotel connected directly to the Des Moines Skywalk system and the Iowa Events Center, less than a mile from the Historic East Village and Simon Estes Riverfront Amphitheater, with a free shuttle covering the six-mile ride to the airport for easy commuting — all at a property featuring an indoor pool and al fresco courtyard with fireplace seating, right in the heart of downtown Des Moines.

Shift Pattern: Full availability required, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays

• Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
