Job summary

Hollywood Casino Aurora is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. You will ensure utensils, cookware, and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored while supporting kitchen operations and safety standards.

Starting salary ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, based on experience. Must be at least 21, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous kitchen stewarding or sanitation experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and maintain all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and cookware.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, storage areas, and garbage disposal.
• Assist culinary staff with basic support as needed.
• Follow procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Monitor and report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards.
• Support inventory management for cleaning supplies, chemicals, and utensils.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen and service areas.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
