Job summary

Harrah’s Council Bluffs (and related properties) is seeking a Steward to manage day-to-day operations of the steward department and maintain a safe, clean environment according to Health Department and internal standards.

The role includes running dish and glass washing, cleaning concession stands, and supporting banquet events. It requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be trained with heavy chemicals (degreasers) and to use floor machines and various kitchen machines.
• Must be able to train in all safety aspects of position.
• Must be able to work independently and with a cleaning schedule.
• Must operate equipment in an effective, safe and proper manner.
• Must uphold the highest level of integrity in all situations and meet standards in a regulated business.
• Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and company appearance standards.

• Physically mobile with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move on level surfaces and stairs.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain the dish machine and glass washer in the main kitchen.
• Clean and maintain all concession stands to meet Health Department standards.
• Follow a deep cleaning schedule for kitchen, concession stands, and other F&B areas.
• Assist in preparation, staging and execution of concession and banquet events.
• Assist culinary team in prepping and plating banquet events.
• Clean and maintain F&B warehouse and storage areas.
• Drive company truck for offsite events as needed.
• Support safety and accident prevention plans.
• Store equipment in designated areas.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance for event setup/breakdown.
• Present as a credit to the Company and encourage others to do the same.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsible for day to day operations of the steward department and maintains all areas for a safe clean environment based on Health Department and internal standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities will include the running and maintenance of the dish machine and glass washer in the main kitchen.
• Accountable for cleaning and maintaining all concession stands to meet and/or exceed local Health Department standards.
• Follow a thorough deep cleaning schedule of the kitchen, concession stands, and all other F&B related areas as specified by functional leader.
• Assist in the preparation, staging and execution of all concession and banquet events including the placement of portable bars and portable concession stands.
• Assist the culinary team in the prepping and plating of banquet events.
• Clean and maintain F&B’s warehouse, both dry and cold storage.
• Assist on any offsite banquet and/or concession event by driving the company truck with designated product.
• Support safety and accident prevention plans as stated by the company and functional leader.
• Stores equipment in pre-designated areas.
• Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for the setup and breakdown of events.
• Presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
