Job summary

Brays Island Plantation seeks a dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Responsibilities include washing and storing utensils, china, flatware and glassware, and ensuring operations align with the restaurant's goals.

Responsibilities also cover assisting with light prep for a la carte and special events, and maintaining cleanliness across dishwashing areas, with the ability to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months working experience or aptitude to train.
• Knowledge of proper dishwashing methods and sanitation is desirable.
• Able to speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Wash all dishes in the dishwashing machine or by hand.
• Polish silverware, platters and chafing dishes as necessary.
• Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty garbage barrels; reline with new bags.
• Examine trash for misplaced silverware, dishes, glassware, etc.
• Wash and polish stainless steel in kitchen and related areas.
• Store all dishes and wares in proper areas.
• Operate and clean the dishwashing machine after each meal period.
• Assist with minor prep for a la carte and special events as directed by Chef or Sous Chef.
• Help with delivering, cleaning coolers/freezers, and storerooms.
