Job summary

Bay Mills Resort & Casinos is seeking a Regular Full Time Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dishes and equipment, supporting a fast-paced dining operation in Brimley, MI.

The role requires a high school diploma (desirable) and a strong teamwork ethic. Base pay is $15.00 per hour, with opportunities to learn and grow within the F&B department. This position emphasizes reliability, safety, and consistent attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Must be able to work closely with all fellow employees under all circumstances and adverse conditions.
• Must possess a personable, customer service attitude along with organizational ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical demands categories of this position description.
• Must have an excellent past work record, including attendance.

Responsibilities

• Exemplary customer service by “Exceeding Expectations One Opportunity at a Time.”
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash dishes by hand or load them into the dishwashing machine.
• Keep work areas clean by sweeping, mopping, and organizing surfaces.
• Ensure total cleanliness of all kitchen facilities and storage areas.
• Operate dish machine and maintain cleanliness of silverware and glassware.
• Assist in all kitchen operations as directed by lead and supervisor.
• Learn and follow daily policies for the F&B Department and Bay Mills Resort & Casinos.
• Attend mandatory trainings from HR and/or Department Manager.
• Perform other duties within scope of essential functions.
