Job summary

Elk River Independent School District 728 is seeking a part-time Kitchen Helper at Hassan Elementary School. Shifts run about 11:30am–2:00pm, 2.5 hours daily, starting ASAP with a posted wage of $17.96 per hour.

The role supports cooks, maintains a sanitary kitchen, and serves meals to students. Responsibilities include serving lunches, cleaning and stocking, cashier duties, and potential catering or extra hours.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of proper method of serving food, care and use of kitchen appliances, and proper sanitation methods and procedures.
• Ability to work with others.
• Ability to maintain good public relations with student and staff.
• General math/cashier skills to cashier or measure food.
• Regularly able to lift heavy objects in excess of fifty pounds.
• No allergies to kitchen and cleaning chemicals.
• May be asked to work caterings and extra hours if necessary.
• Entry level position, no experience required.
