Job summary

Mother’s Market is seeking a Dishwasher to clean and sanitize dishes and kitchenware and to keep the workspace organized and safe for the food service team. Candidates must be able to work flexible shifts and assist in training new dishwashers as needed.

The role is entry-level with no prior experience required. Candidates should be willing to learn sanitation procedures and adhere to health and safety standards; physical effort includes standing for long periods and lifting up to 70 pounds

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; entry-level position.
• Willingness to learn cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Basic understanding of health and safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and organize dishes, silverware, glassware, and cooking utensils using manual and machine methods.
• Maintain proper water temperatures and ensure compliance with health code standards.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Organize storage areas and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Track breakage and report equipment losses.
• Keep the dishwashing area, including floors, counters, and walls, clean and safe.
• Remove waste and empty bus tubs promptly.
• Stock and rotate produce in kitchen walk-in and dry goods storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen storage and walk-in cooler.
• Ensure a safe work environment by removing debris and hazards.
• Assist in training new dishwashers when needed.
• Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members.
• Empty trash and transfer it to dumpsters.
• Support deliveries by stacking cases weighing up to 70 pounds and breaking down produce pallets.
