Angie's Angels Child Development is seeking a full-time Children’s Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in our childcare center. The role emphasizes safe, timely meal preparation in a structured environment with CACFP guidelines in mind.

The successful candidate will work daytime hours, maintain a clean kitchen, assist with basic food purchasing, and help ensure a stable, supportive dining experience for our children.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.

• Ability to follow food safety guidelines and instructions.

Children’s Cook (Full-Time)

$13–$17/hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a full-time Children’s Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in our childcare center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking in a structured environment, values consistency, and takes pride in preparing healthy meals for children.

This position follows a consistent daytime schedule (weekday only).

About the Role

Our Children’s Cook plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our center by ensuring meals are prepared safely, on time, and in accordance with CACFP guidelines. You will work independently in the kitchen while collaborating with leadership to keep food service running smoothly.

Core Responsibilities

As the Children’s Cook, you will:

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children daily


• Follow CACFP standards and guidelines


• Prepare food in large quantities while maintaining quality and portion control


• Verify correct portion sizes for age groups


• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of food and supplies


• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
