Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado in Dallas, TX is seeking a Kitchen Cashier to deliver friendly customer service and handle cash accurately in a fast-paced retail kitchen environment. You will assist the cooks, restock front counter equipment, take orders in person or by phone, and uphold store standards for cleanliness, safety, and sanitation while providing a positive shopping experience for guests.

This role requires walking/standing throughout shift and the ability to lift small loads up to 25 lbs.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Cashier provides customer service and cash handling in a retail store environment. The role is expected to be a role model of the company by delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Proven track of providing excellent results, shows persistence and perseverance;
• Demonstrates care and compassion for people; shows empathy and concern. Able to build and maintain positive team relationships, relates well to diverse people; is approachable;
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety;
• Assists the cooks with making specific dishes;
• Fills and re-stocks front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks;
• Follows procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellation and all saved recall transactions;
• Responsible for personal Cashier Productivity;
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone;
• All other duties as assigned.

Customer Service:

• Demonstrates personal Customer Service excellence. Engages with customers always;
• Improves speed and efficiency of service provided.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Food Handlers Card;
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.
