Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Pigeon Forge seeks an experienced Bartender to open and close the Kitchen+Bar, serve cocktails and food, and assist guests with inquiries. You will maintain a clean bar area, handle transactions, and contribute to a welcoming, high‑standard hospitality experience.

The role requires bartending experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a busy setting while delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Bartending experience or similar hospitality role is required.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to handle money, make change, and operate POS/kitchen equipment.

• Maintain the food prep and bar area in a clean, well‑organized manner.
• Serve and assist guests with a wide variety of drinks and foods.
• Demonstrate high standards of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times.
• Provide general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer guest questions.

Required Qualifications

• 21 years old or older.
• At least one year of bartending experience; two or more years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of two years of college preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English; ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in bartending, prep cooking, cocktail serving, or similar positions.
• Ability to handle money, make change, and use office machines in day‑to‑day activities.
• Proficiency with cash register, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, and other relevant machines.
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to deal diplomatically with difficult situations while exhibiting professionalism.
• Ability to open and close bar, obtain supplies, and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and provide appropriate change.
