The Kitchen Assistant/Van Driver position at Alabama Quassarte Tribal Town supports the Elderly Nutrition Center by delivering meals to seniors and assisting with meal preparation and serving for Congregate and Home Delivered meals programs.
Under supervision, you will drive tribal vehicles, maintain route logs, and help ensure a clean, safe dining and food service environment while assisting staff during holidays or shortages.
Under supervision of the Title VI Director and Head Cook, the Kitchen Assistant/Driver is responsible for
providing meal delivery services to Seniors and assisting the Head Cook and Cook Aide in preparing and/or serving food and beverages in support of the Congregate and Home Delivered meals programs offered through the Elderly Nutrition Center.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Title VI Director and Head Cook.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and be willing to submit to a criminal background check. Obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification. Obtain and maintain current Food Handler’s Permit. This position may work outside the normal workweek.

May require standing for more than one hour, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, lifting, reaching above your head, good range of motion in neck, good manual dexterity and coordination, stair climbing, and climbing in and out of a vehicle. Lift and transport up to fifty (50) pounds of food and packaged materials. See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read traffic signs, computer screens and printed documents. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.
