About the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE)

The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. For 80 years, FEE has been committed to inspiring and educating individuals on the values of personal freedom, entrepreneurship, and sound economic thinking. Through various programs, publications, and events, FEE empowers individuals to understand the economic principles that drive prosperity and fosters a society rooted in individual rights and limited government.

About FEE's Student Engagement Team

The Student Engagement department leads FEE's student-facing events. Through a mix of in-person and virtual programs, FEE partners with schools, educators, and organizations to introduce students to the principles of a free society, fostering deeper understanding and thoughtful discussions. From outreach and relationship-building to event logistics and execution, the Student Engagement team works to create engaging, high-impact experiences that challenge and inspire the next generation. Domestically, FEE's programs have reached students in nearly all 50 states. Internationally, FEE has a growing footprint in Latin America.

About FEE in the Classroom International

FEE in the Classroom International brings FEE's educational programs to students and educators in Latin America. Working with schools, educational institutions, and local partners, the program delivers workshops and seminars in Spanish that introduce young people to the ideas of a free society.

About the Role

The Program Outreach Intern will support FEE in the Classroom International's efforts to expand its network of partner institutions across Latin America. Working closely with the outreach team, the intern will help identify high schools, universities, and student organizations that are a strong fit for FEE's programs, and support the strategies that turn those contacts into lasting partnerships. This is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to combine a love for the ideas of a free society with hands-on experience in market research, outreach, and relationship-building in an international nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research across Latin American countries to identify potential institutional partners and expansion opportunities.
  • Source and map contact information for high schools, universities, student organizations, and youth leadership networks.
  • Assist in prospecting and developing outreach strategies, including drafting personalized outreach emails and supporting email cadences.
  • Analyze market trends and provide actionable insights to the outreach team.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategic approaches for engagement with high school educators and university leaders.
  • Support the preparation of program proposals for potential partner institutions.
  • Enter and update lead and contact information in Salesforce.
  • Learn and apply outreach KPIs to evaluate the success of different initiatives.
Skills:
  • Business, Economics, Project Management, or other related majors desired, but not required.
  • Basic Spanish proficiency required (able to read and write simple emails and hold basic conversations); intermediate or advanced level is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping everything on track and maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit to improve existing programs.
  • A collaborative personality; unafraid of challenge.
  • An unwavering commitment to the mission and principles of FEE.
