Job description

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and safety minded individual to join our team as a Nonferrous (NF) Kiosk Operator. The NF Kiosk Operator acts as the primary point of contact with our suppliers and is responsible for the accurate weighing and sorting of nonferrous metals like Copper, Aluminum, Brass, etc. You will also be responsible for completing all required documentation and paperwork for the receipt and payment of all materials received. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent customer service, communications, and coordination skills.

This position may work outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Responsibilities of a Kiosk Operator/Weighmaster

• Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of all nonferrous metals that are brought in by our suppliers, in accordance with company policies and procedures and state guidelines.
• Accurately sort and weigh inbound scrap materials from individual customers.
• Document scrap material and customer information into ticketing system.
• Provide customers with an accurate receipt of scrap materials delivered.
• Educate, inform, and assist customers with required documentation for acceptance of scrap materials.
• Complete and submit all required reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties in the scale house and customer areas to maintain a safe and clean environment for all.
• In certain circumstances the NF Kiosk Operator will operate a forklift.
• Must be able to work with the general public.

Qualifications of a Kiosk Operator/Weighmaster

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a weighmaster preferred, but not required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
