Job summary

Four Oaks Family And Childrens Services seeks a Kinship Navigator Specialist to help keep children connected with their relatives and support networks. You will assess caregiver needs, create Kinship Support Plans, and link families to essential services to promote stability and safety.

You will build relationships with relatives, fictive kin, and community professionals to overcome barriers and empower caregivers toward sustainable placements and stronger family ties.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree, Master's or AA in social work or a human services related field plus two years of full-time paid experience in child welfare.
• Experience working with Foster and Adoptive families is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Connect families, build stability, and create hope for kinship placements.
• Assess caregiver needs and develop individualized Kinship Support Plans with goals and steps.
• Connect caregivers with essential services such as childcare, food, housing, transportation, and health care.
• Serve as a Resource Navigator for community programs, insurance, and legal support.
• Strengthen caregiver engagement and promote safe, stable placements.
