Qualifications

• A valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) for subject area.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years teaching.
• Evidence of meeting highly qualified requirements per No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with Michigan standards.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Encourage and monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Help students who are behind or struggling to learn content.
• Collaborate with other teachers to improve lesson plans and learning.
• Communicate with students and parents regarding progress and needs.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all activities.
• Manage student behavior and enforce school rules.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom per school policies.
• Use formative, summative, and interim assessment data to inform instruction.
• Create classroom assessments that measure student proficiency per standards.
