Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows evidence of preparation upon request of supervisor.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates objectives to students as adopted by the Board of Education.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Maintains orderly classroom management and appropriate student conduct.
• Provides availability to students and parents outside instructional hours when required.
• Collaborates with colleagues and communities to improve professional competence.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in school activities.
• Promotes public relations for the school’s programs and activities.
