Job summary

Christina School District is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher at Pulaski Early Education Center. Location is Newark, DE, with a district-approved salary schedule based on experience and degree.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for Delaware Early Childhood Certification; Special Education certification preferred. Minimum physical requirements include standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. A sign-on bonus program applies for city teachers in PK-8.

Qualifications

POSITION: Kindergarten Teacher
LOCATION: Pulaski Early Education Center

MOU Sign-on Bonus: Each city teacher in grades PK-8 who works in a city school for one year shall receive a bonus of $3500 total. This bonus will be payable to each teacher in two (2) lump sums per year totaling $3500.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education. Special Education Certification preferred.
• Must be able to stand and work continuously for a minimum of 4 hours per workday.
• Minimum lifting requirements- 50 pounds (with assistance).
• Must be able to use arms and hands without restrictions to accommodate the physical, mobility, and ambulatory needs of students.
