Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and action planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience teaching in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify during the year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based instruction in daily planning and classroom practice.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for student learning.
• Use school curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology to support learning.
• Participate in planning and non-instructional activities as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and perform other duties as assigned.
