Responsibilities

  • Teach reading, writing, mathematics, and science to Kindergarten students through effective classroom instruction, assessment, and management.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's educational philosophy, curriculum standards, and learning objectives.
  • Create a positive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports students' academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and the enhancement of instructional practices and strategies.
  • Motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to establish a strong educational foundation.
  • Provide targeted intervention, re-teaching, reinforcement, and consolidation of academic skills for students who require additional support.
  • Provide accelerated instruction and enrichment opportunities for students as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with counselors, administrators, specialists, and other professionals to support the individual needs and development of students.
  • Observe student behavior and academic progress and communicate relevant observations with appropriate members of the educational team.
  • Develop and utilize developmentally appropriate assessment practices to establish student goals and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate student records and complete required documentation and reports in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside support professionals when appropriate.
  • Teach in person and demonstrate the ability to transition to distance learning when necessary.
  • Maintain responsibility for the safety, supervision, and well-being of students in your care during the school day and during school-related activities.
  • Participate in recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal duties as assigned.
  • Participate in required school activities, including Back-to-School events, parent/student conferences, professional development, faculty meetings, retreats, field trips, performances, and special events.
  • Build and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, families, and community partners.
  • Support the work of the Principal and administrative leadership team.
  • Follow and support school policies, procedures, regulations, and expectations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by school administration.

A private school in Miami is seeking an energetic, creative, and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join its growing faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Overview

The Kindergarten Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and academically challenging classroom environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, understands the developmental needs of young learners, and is skilled at differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs.

This is an in-person, on-campus position working directly with students. The daily schedule is approximately 8 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities
