Job description

St. Robert Catholic School seeks a faith-filled, energetic Kindergarten Teacher who supports the Catholic mission of the school and fosters a positive, engaging learning environment for young students.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and model the Catholic mission through word, action, and instruction
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with school and diocesan curriculum
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Monitor and assess student progress; use data to inform instruction
• Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes respect and self-discipline
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success
• Uphold school and diocesan policies and maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required); Early Childhood Endorsement preferred
• Valid Michigan teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong knowledge of the faith
• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
• Proficiency with educational technology

Additional Requirements

• Completion of background check and Protecting God’s Children program
• Ability to perform physical duties typical of a classroom teacher (standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, supervising students indoors and outdoors)
